Why does the BioCharger have a “cool down” time?

Why does the BioCharger have a "cool down" time?

The cool-down time is used to help extend the life of the electronic components of the BioCharger by reducing the heat that can build within them.

Fun fact: not all recipes generate the same heat! The length of time of the recipe, output levels, and frequencies all contribute to the heat generated.

Because not all recipes are the same, it is important to listen to the fans after a recipe is completed. There are temperature sensors inside of the BioCharger that control the fans that cool down the electric components. Once the fans stop running after a recipe, the electrical components are cooled enough to run a recipe. Some recipes require more time before the fans stop running. Other recipes may not require any time before the fans stop.

For those of us who like to run a couple of BioCharger recipes back-to-back, it is important that the fans all stop running before running the next recipe. Running the BioCharger with extended recipe runtimes (and without sufficient cool-down time) will reduce the life of the electronic components and they may end up requiring service.
