As May comes to an end, we’d like to reflect on the importance of this month as Mental Health Awareness Month. We know that it’s not always the most comfortable topic to discuss but mental health is important, it’s real, and for many it’s an everyday battle.
Health and wellness have many layers – physical, emotional, spiritual – and each of those layers affects our wellbeing. Mental Health Awareness Month is meant to bring the commonality of mental illness to the forefront and remind us that there are many resources for coping with the daily struggles that mental illness often brings. 1 in 5 people will experience a mental health condition in their lifetime and everyone should feel that they can be open about those conditions, no questions asked.
Mental Health America, a non-profit organization that is “dedicated to helping all people live mentally healthier lives” has deemed this year’s theme: #tools2thrive. Living a healthy lifestyle isn’t always easy but can be achieved by gradually making small changes and building on those successes. Here are some small changes that support strong mental health~
- Owning your feelings
- Finding the positive
- Connecting with others
- Eliminating toxic influences
- Creating healthy routines
Here at BioCharger, our mission is to support and accompany others on their journey to wellness and optimization – mental health included. You are not alone.
